What a treat it was to travel up to the Shropshire/Herefordshire border to photograph Fran & Lee’s rustic wedding. The ceremony was held in Downton-on-the-Rock, a village in a tranquil valley surrounded by ancient trees and rolling hills. For the reception, they erected a marquee in a field just a stone’s throw from where Lee grew up as a child. The marquee was decorated with hand-made rustic details, even the bunting was hand-stitched by Fran’s Mum! The whole day felt very personal and intimate – organised and put together with lots of love and care.
I’m sure you’ll agree that Fran’s dress, with its subtle blush of colour like pink champagne and incredible detailing, was very special. Lee received a lovely wedding gift very apt for his line of work – a cartridge shaped hip flask, which was promptly filled with home-made damson gin!
