It was such a privilege to be asked to capture Philippa & Sam’s spring wedding in Kent. They wanted their wedding to be in a beautiful rustic barn and found the perfect venue in Court Lodge Barn in Stansted, Kent. St. Mary’s church in Stansted is immediately next door and is a wonderfully quaint village church with possibly the most fun vicar in the county! After an intimate ceremony everyone walked down the country lane to the wedding reception at the Court Lodge Barn. Decorated with hundreds of fairy lights, hanging lanterns and beautiful flowers it was an impressive space to enjoy a wonderful meal prepared by Lardercraft. Sam loves his Lego, so for their “guestbook” they had all their friends & family build a Lego figure of themselves to then stick onto a couple of frames. Everyone had a great time creating their Lego alter ego with wizard wands and outrageous hats 🙂
It was lovely to see the church where they got married just across the fence from the barn, so during sunset we quickly dashed into the adjoining field for a few photographs of Sam & Philippa with St. Mary’s in the background – without a doubt our favourite images of the day! After dark, the drinks were flowing and 8 Ball made sure the dancefloor was packed all evening – it was so much fun seeing everyone let their hair down interspersed with lovely dances by the bride & groom surrounded by all their loved ones. The perfect way to round up the day!
