Aynhoe Park Fine Art Wedding Photography | Charli & Tom
What can we even say about Charli & Tom..? From the alpaca-filled adventure that was their engagement shoot, to their phenomenally beautiful wedding celebrations at Aynhoe Park, these two have been a delight. We had been bursting to photograph their special day from the minute they booked us, and still the reality exceeded all our expectations! What a dream!
Aynhoe Park is, without a doubt, right up there at the top of our list of favourite venues. I don't think anywhere else exists with the same amount of personality and magic - you are transported as soon as you step through the front door (which is usually opened for you by a butler). A treasure trove of wonders awaits with curiosities around every corner, and the orangery takes our breath away no matter how many times we see it! Sky high windows let the light flood in, and although there's a lot to see (disco balls and a floating giraffe, to mention a couple of features!) the clean, white palette means it is still a super versatile space for any wedding decor.
One of the things we love most about Charli & Tom was the way they made the day (or days!) their own, and took a relaxed approach to wedding traditions. They held their wedding over 3 days - an "I do BBQ" the night before, the wedding day itself, and a last morning together before everyone departed. Their guest list was an intimate 40 people, both made speeches, and they skipped any kind of formal bridal party. Without bridesmaids and groomsmen these two got ready in complete calm on their own (with the exception of the odd photographer of butler!) to be joined later by close friends and family for some pre-ceremony fizz.
Other favourite moments of ours were the confetti throw (which Charli's darling mum had been drying by hand forever using petals from the garden), a surprise routine during the first dance, and the exchange of personal promises during the ceremony. Frankly there were so many unique, thoughtful and personal touches that we couldn't possibly mention them all here, but it's safe to say that an enormous amount of love was poured into every aspect of this celebration. And it couldn't have been more perfect.
