Classic country house wedding with secret garden marquee reception in Dorset
We've been to Dorset a few times now, both for weddings and to walk along the Jurassic Coast, and it's fast becoming a real favourite place of ours! The venues down there are absolutely beautiful - Came House is an elegant manor house close to Dorchester, and we were so excited to finally work there. The gardens took our breath away with their abundance of early summer flowers, the foxgloves and waterlillies were magical. Maddie & Luke created a timeless country house wedding with a glasshouse ceremony, lawn games and a secret garden marquee reception.
The day was impeccably and timelessly styled, with the boys in black tie, and Maddie wearing a custom satin gown to get ready, and a pearl-covered dress by KYHA Studios for the day. It was so unique, we've never seen another one like it! Classic white and green florals filled the conservatory for the ceremony, and the top of the marquee was decorated with chandeliers and white wisteria - so elegant!
We so enjoyed spending time with these two, and their lovely families, as they came together to celebrate. We couldn't have asked for a more welcoming group of people to share a day with!

The ceremony was held in the glasshouse of Came House. Maddie & Luke decided on simple white florals and adorned the glasshouse with a loosely structured floral arch - super luxurious!
For the wedding reception in the ‘secret garden marquee’ of Came House, the floral arch was moved to provide a stunning entrance to the reception space. It’s such a good tip to re-use your floral installation wherever you can!
The central aspect of Came House, as seen from the gardens, immediately grabbed us and we couldn’t wait to shoot couple portraits here. It doesn’t get much better than an elegant manor house backdrop and a light gravel path for your wedding photos! Also, Maddie & Luke looked phenomenal - luxurious black tie styling and a cathedral length veil made this a joy to capture!
