Photographs against the amazing backdrop of Hopetoun House, and the groom’s Royal Regiment of Scotland uniform in combination with the bride’s gown and cathedral-length veil, made for a very impressive scene.
It’s no secret that we love dogs getting involved at a wedding, and when their golden retriever made a guest appearance for some cuddles and photos we were in our element! We always encourage couples to include their dogs in the festivities if possible, as they are part of the family and the photos can be cherished forever.

Elegant, luxurious military wedding at Hopetoun House near Edinburgh, Scotland
For one of our final weddings of the 2022 season we travelled to Edinburgh for a magnificent military wedding at Hopetoun House. Scotland’s finest stately home, Hopetoun House is a 17th century luxury wedding venue and it truly took our breath away.
The Angels Events were a dream to work with, and Planet Flowers made sure the stables and ballroom were adorned with an abundance of autumnal florals - a feast for the eyes when guests entered the ceremony and reception spaces. A cèilidh in the evening was a perfect fun yet traditional touch!
The weather may have been a tad soggy, but with roaring fires, cosy spaces and drinks flowing it’s safe to say it didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits!
