They both got ready in small villages just a few minutes drive away. Kathryn was driven to the barn with her dad, in the very same VW Fastback in which she was driven home from hospital when she was born. How incredibly special is that?
Kathryn looked stunning in her dress (she even appeared on ‘Say Yes To The Dress UK‘) and the flowers were amazing! Cripps Barn was full of candles, greenery and florals suspended from the ceiling – there was a magical, twinkly atmosphere! The ceremony itself was so personal, and it was such a pleasure to see how much it meant to Kathryn, George and their loved ones.
After the ceremony everyone enjoyed the grounds of Cripps Barn, and the Vamos theatre company (who Kathryn works for) caused havoc amongst the guests! We captured a full range of emotions throughout the day, from beaming smiles to teary eyes. After the first dance there was a surprise performance by eight brass players, led by one of the groomsmen, which meant an enormous amount to the newlyweds – the crowd parted as soon as the music started, and within seconds there were few dry eyes left in the room!
Guests spent the evening toasting marshmallows over the fire pits, having fun with sparklers and doing lots of dancing! We had the most amazing time, so thanks to all the staff at Cripps Barn, the guests who made it so enjoyable and of course Kathryn & George for entrusting us with capturing their day for them!
