Kirsty & Ben’s wedding day was absolutely stunning in every way – the location, the venue, the weather, and most importantly the wonderful people. It was a dream to photograph!
Andy started the morning with Ben and his two best men at The Stonemasons Inn, while I spent the morning with Kirsty and her girls getting ready in a beautiful, light-filled family home. Kirsty’s flowers by Rose Cottage took everybody’s breath away when they were delivered, and Sam of SB Make Up pampered all the girls making sure they looked fabulous! Kirsty opted for a dramatic full-length veil and it looked incredible.
‘Binky’ the little mint green campervan transported the girls to Upwaltham Barns, set in the South Downs National Park and surrounded by idyllic rolling hills. The traditional, rustic barns and grounds were all decorated in beautiful pastel colours, with a musical theme running throughout owing to Kirsty and Ben’s love of festivals. We were all treated to lots of lovely live music throughout the day – Jonathan O’Donnell played acoustic guitar during the ceremony and reception drinks, and when the partying kicked off in the evening Riot kept everyone dancing. The bridal party even brought along their colourful festival wellies for some photos!
After an emotional ceremony and a fantastic meal by Nibbles to Nosh, we walked up the hills next to the venue with Kirsty and Ben for some low light couple portraits – such an incredible view! After dark everyone wandered out to light sparklers, the perfect way to round up a day of wedding photography.
