Brixton East Wedding Photography | Jenna & Andrew
Well, first let us start by saying this about Jenna, Andrew and their wedding guests - they know how to party! The whole day was full of laughter from start to finish, and it was a privilege to capture it all.Catherine started the morning with Jenna and her bridesmaids as they got ready at the trendy Tulse Hill Hotel in London. Throughout the morning the mood was lovely and relaxed, and the girls had lots of fun practicing their walking down the aisle up and down the hotel corridor! When the florals arrived everyone was absolutely blown away - Bud and Sprout's generous bouquets were bursting with colour and texture, and made up of everything from sweet peas to thistles, and each one was a little different. The colour scheme of creams, peaches and greens really popped against the blue of the bridesmaids dresses, and speaking of dresses - wow, Jenna looked absolutely breathtaking in her wedding dress! She chose to wear 'Avery' by Rime Arodaky, and with its delicate lace sleeves, backless design and full, feminine skirt, it looked like it was made for her.Meanwhile Andy was with Andrew as he got ready at home with his groomsmen. The boys certainly looked sharp in their blue and green patterned suits, teamed with slim white ties for the groomsmen and a black bow tie for Andrew! Once everyone was ready they headed to the ceremony venue, the Old Library at Dulwich College, to meet and greet guests. The space was beautiful with its light walls and high ceilings, and the ceremony itself was full of emotion. The vows were interspersed with beautiful readings and singing, which led to even more teary eyes amongst the guests! Two red double decker buses transported everyone to Brixton East for the wedding reception, a characterful, urban space which was originally a furniture warehouse back in the nineteenth century. The exposed brick and wooden floorboards of the interior were gorgeous, especially teamed with the strings of festoon lights hanging from the ceiling and the giant clock face! Guests were greeted with glasses of champagne and trays of gorgeous canapes by Kitchen Party as they arrived, and we nipped out into the surrounding area with the newlyweds and their bridal party for a few relaxed, natural portraits. There are some really interesting features to use for photographs nearby, and lots hints of the old Brixton East train station. When the food had been cleared away and everyone headed upstairs to dance, a fantastic brass band kept the dancefloor full! The first dance was just so beautiful - a confetti canon showered everyone with golden glittery confetti, and as Andrew twirled Jenna around the movement in the dress was divine! Everyone danced, laughed and drank until the small hours - what a perfect way to kick off married life. We hope looking through these wedding photographs makes you smile as much as it does us!
