Fine Art Wedding Photographers at Lake Como, Italy
We have just returned from a wonderful trip to Bellagio, a quaint historic town right on the edge of Lake Como, Italy. The cobbled side streets, pastel coloured houses and beautiful details around every corner, combined with temperatures in the low twenties, made it the perfect place for us to unwind before a busy wedding season! Although we only stayed for a little less than four days we managed to see a great deal, and eat lots of lovely local food - pizza & gelato all day long :) One of the highlights for us all was undeniably the Villa del Balbianello; with its stunning terraced gardens and views overlooking Lake Como and the Alps it was wonderful for photography, and the scent of the wisteria blooms in the air was a real treat! The Villa del Balbianello can also be hired as a wedding venue, so for anyone planning a destination wedding in Italy we can recommend it highly. We asked a couple of friends if they wanted to join us on our spontaneous Italian trip, and especially after mentioning that you can hire a boat and pretend to be George Clooney for a day, they were in! We spent an amazing afternoon exploring the lake in a boat we hired - Andy got to be a captain for a few hours and he looked like he was having the time of his life! It was also fantastic to see the famous Lake Como Villas and views from a different perspective.
