Brympton House Wedding Photography | Anna & Shane
Elegant & classic destination wedding at Brympton House, Somerset
Anna & Shane got married at Brympton House surrounded by their friends and family, the majority of whom had flown over from the USA! Needless to say the guests fell completely in love with the venue (as did we!) - from the moment we all arrived on site we felt as if we had been transported back in time. With it being a destination wedding Anna & Shane wanted somewhere quintessentially English and historic, which they certainly found in Brympton House - it has a real 'Downton Abbey' appeal!
Not only are these two utterly gorgeous together, but are the sweetest and most generous people - we were made to feel so welcome throughout the whole weekend! The evening before the main wedding day we were invited to capture the rehearsal dinner and some portraits. We so enjoyed spending some relaxed time with Anna, Shane and their close family - getting to know some of the key faces certainly helped us on the big day too!
The plan A had been to have an outdoor ceremony on the front lawn, but when the weather didn't quite play ball the venue and the florist moved seamlessly to plan B - one of the charming indoor spaces. I'm sure you will agree this looked just as beautiful! Stems of Somerset blew us away with a huge asymmetrical flower installation, and every windowsill was covered in flickering candles. The atmosphere was magical!
After exploring the grounds of Brympton House for portraits, and making the most of some sunny spells, the wedding breakfast was held in The Ballroom. The space was light, airy, and wonderful to photograph! In the evening, dancing and marshmallow-toasting kept everyone entertained. Shane's sisters even performed a surprise dance routine with Anna! The day ended on such a high with a fabulous party.
