Slindon House Wedding Photography
Slindon House is a beautiful wedding venue near Arundel in West Sussex. With impressive views overlooking the South Downs, Slindon House stands on a sunny slope surrounded by gardens - the perfect spot for a drinks reception.
As wedding photographers specialising in light, airy, classic wedding imagery, Slindon House worked perfectly with our style of photography. The indoor spaces have large windows and high ceilings, so they're full of natural light, and the grounds are stunning!
Timeless Elegance at Slindon House
We had the most wonderful day capturing Lydia & Damien's wedding at Slindon House! They are such a sweet couple, and we had so much fun sharing the day with them and their loved ones - a genuinely warm, kind group of people, it really felt like we were just spending a day with friends.
Lydia & Damien styled their day in shades of green, pink and cream, and opted for long banqueting style tables for dining. We loved the boys' suits - groomsmen in cream and Damien in dark green - as well as the bridesmaids' dresses, which were silky and in varying styles and shades of green. Lydia's Pronovias gown was in a beautiful soft nude, and was covered in floral embellishments.
Wedding ceremony in Slindon House
The Grand Hall of Slindon House is the most breathtaking, light & airy wedding ceremony space! Flooded with light and with ornate detailing it made a perfect space for Lydia & Damien’s wedding ceremony.
Couple Portraits in the grounds of Slindon House
It’s always a treat to have a few hidden spots, out of sight of all the guests, for beautiful couple portraits on your wedding day. Slindon House gave us plenty of choice - there are all sorts of beautiful backdrops for elegant wedding photographs!
The orangery at Slindon House
It’s no secret that we love orangeries and glasshouses, so we were super excited when we had the opportunity to take photos in the Victorian Conservatory adjacent to the main house! It’s an incredibly special historic feature, and as such it belongs to the National Trust.
Fragrant jasmine, citrus and olive trees fill the inside, creating an almost Mediterranean feel. We loved the symmetry looking along the length of the conservatory, so we made the most of it for Lydia & Damien’s portraits! It was quite a blustery day, so the conservatory offered us a sheltered spot out of the wind without missing out on the sunlight. It would also be a great rainy day option for wedding photos!
Wedding reception in SLINDON house
The Grand Hall in Slindon House was turned around discreetly for the wedding breakfast as guests were enjoying a drink in the sunshine! The Hall has plenty of space for guests to dine, and a change of orientation allowed the ornate fireplace to become a focal point within the room. The venue perfectly balances a formal look with a relaxed ambience. As you will see, Lydia & Damien’s guests had an utterly fabulous time celebrating!
Sunset photos overlooking the South Downs national park
The views from Slindon House are unmatched - with the South Downs National Park stretching out as far as the eye can see, the opportunities for sunset photos are spectacular!
After the meal the light suddenly turned from bright to soft, warm and golden. We dashed out together to take some more portraits, and had great fun chasing the light in the grounds together! We really wanted to capture all the movement in Lydia's dress, and it’s not difficult to see why. Just look at that train! Magical!
If you are planning your wedding day at Slindon House, we’d love to hear from you!
